Beyonce knows marriage can be hard work

US singer Beyonce Knowles fully appreciates that a marriage is all about give and take.

The 27-year-old singer revealed in an interview with Giant magazine that since her wedding to Jay Z earlier this year she has come to realise that staying happy takes a "lot of hard work".
Beyonce asserted that there is nothing fake about her marriage to the rapper.
She also explained that she takes inspiration for marital life from her parents' own strong relationship.
"I learned that it's a lot of hard work, that it's more than a dress. My parents are tighter now than ever, but they've been through it all. There were times when they were together, times when they were apart," she told the publication.
"What Jay and I have is real. It's not about the interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real."
Beyonce tied the knot with Jay Z in New York City in April this year.
