 I want to tell you about my friends Anne and David. They met many years ago on a creative writing course in a small fishing village in Cornwall. They were both single and seeking that special relationship, but had decided to take a break and focus on themselves and their urge to write. Often it's when you're not trying that things work out best. And, now they’re married to one another! I should know: I made their wedding cake.
 Anne Aylor has proved to be an inspiring midwife to writing talent. Her creative writing courses, here in the UK, Catalonia and Croatia, have a loyal following and represent ridiculously good value. One of Anne Aylor's most popular courses is a week''s retreat in the hills above Girona. The "So You Want to Write a Novel" workshop at La Torre de Dalt has been held every summer for the last 6 years. The venue has proved to be a romantic meeting for some guests. People came to write . . . and left with partners.
Anne will be running her next course from 6-13th June 2015 with her husband, David Wilson. Are you free then? At La Torre you can write, swim and meet other interesting people. You need not have begun a novel to attend, or even have written before, just a desire to start. All levels from beginners to professional writers are welcome. There are morning sessions on technique, afternoon 1-2-1s and showcase evenings for students to share their work and a fiesta night to celebrate on Day 6.
