Couple stay together from age 11

A couple who are both 22 are celebrating the fact that they have been together half their lives.

Lindsay Gallman and Rene Valle met at school and quickly began going out to the cinema or for dinner aged only 11.
But it wasn't until they reached the age on 15 that they became an official couple, after years of being the best of friends, reports DallasNews.com.
She said: "He was the one guy in the group I felt close to and was comfortable with. I was excited but I didn't expect what was going to happen."
It happened after they had gone to a Valentine's disco together. When they got home, Rene asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend and they have never looked back.
Rene said of this girlfriend: "She was always really nice. That's what was attractive to me."
Although they are at different universities, they are still keeping things going, with regular visits and daily contact over email and phone.
And Rene recently surprised Lindsay with a proposal.
