Dating Portman made Moby 'hated' by geeks

Music genius Moby became a hated man among his geeky peers after he dated Hollywood beauty Natalie Portman, the star has revealed.

The star, whose hits have included Praise You, said that as a self-confessed nerd he seemed to attract certain ladies.
He told Details magazine: "I guess in some people's eyes, (nerds) might be mildly sexy - and, as a nerd, I'm certainly happy to enjoy some of the effects of that."
But while the music maker, whose real name is Richard Melville, was enjoying the amorous affections of actress Natalie Portman, he was not getting much love from the geek army.
Portman played Padme Naberrie Amidala-Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel films.
He said: "As far as the very brief affair that I had with Natalie, it's made me a target of a lot of nerd wrath.
"You don't date Luke Skywalker's mom and not have them hate your guts."
