Relatives of rapper Nick Cannon have confirmed that he and singer Mariah Carey have married.

Mariah showed up at New York's TriBeca Film Festival a few days with Nick on her arm and a jewel-encrusted ring on her finger, and rumours abound that the couple tied the knot on Wednesday in the Bahamas.
Linda Cannon, a relative of Nick's, told E! News: "He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him." When asked about the wedding venue, she replied: "I'm not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him."
Jeweler Jacob & Co confirmed to E! News that Cannon paid $2.5million for the 17-carat engagement ring.
This is Carey's second marriage, having split from music magnate Tommy Mottola in 1998. The couple had been married for five years.
