Jackman named sexiest man alive

Antipodean hunk Hugh Jackman is officially the sexiest man on the planet, according to a new list of the world's hottest fellas.

The actor, whose films include The Prestige and X-Men, was named People magazine's "sexiest man alive" last week.
The strapping 40-year-old, who is six feet two inches of pure muscle, pipped other Hollywood hunks including Brad Pitt and George Clooney to the post.
Commenting on the title, Elizabeth Sporkin, executive editor at People, said: "Huch Jackman is the real package – humble, romantic, drop-dead gorgeous and a star of the moment.
"He is so much more than his movies – that's sexy."
Jackman is a true romantic who sings love songs to wife Deborra-Lee Furness, who he has been married to for 12 years.
Past winners of the accolade have of course included Pitt and Clooney, but also Matt Damon and Mathew McConaughey.
Jackman is currently starring alongside Nicole Kidman in the epic movie Australia.
