Kanye West and fiancee split

US rapper Kanye West and his fiancee have split up, with the star citing work pressures as one of the main reasons.

Kanye has been dating Alexis Phifer for six years and the pair have been engaged since 2006.
The rapper popped the question while the couple were on a romantic holiday in Italy.
However 18 months on and they are parting ways due to the pressure that Kanye is under organising his world tour, according to media reports.
Speaking of the break-up, Alexis told Us Weekly magazine: "It's been hard and not been an easy time.
"I tried to keep things private but yes, it's sad when things end like this and we truly do remain friends. I wish him the best in his future and in all of his endeavours. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met, that's for sure."
