A Chinese couple are waiting on the Guinness Book of Records to confirm that they are the shortest ever newly-weds.
Li Tangyong, 3ft 7ins married Chen Guilan, 2ft 4ins, this week and the couple are hoping that their marriage will secure them a place in the record books

Recounting the background to their happy day, Mr Tangyong told the New Express: "We had to postpone the marriage for three years because both our families objected."
However family feuds could not tear their love apart and earlier this week on Chinese National Day the diminutive pair joined 30 other couples in a group wedding at a park in Shunde City.
According to Softpedia, the record for the world's shortest man is held by another Chinese national: 19-year-old He Pingping who is just 73 centimetres (2.4 feet).
