Australians love romance

Ozzies are turning up the romance, a new survey has revealed.

Asking engaged couples how they met and fell in love, and what their plans are for marriage, the poll found that Australians love to love, as 65 per cent of couples claim to have fallen in love the first time they saw their betrothed.
When it comes to meeting the person of their dreams, 38 per cent met through mutual friends. Another 13 per cent met on a night out and four per cent met online, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
Ozzie woman are being treated to the works when it comes to proposals, with half of men going all out with a grand gestures to ask for their hand in marriage.
Some 21 per cent of proposals took place on a romantic holiday, while another 21 per cent pooped the question at home. A brave ten per cent opted for a public proposal.
But not all men are planning their proposals so meticulously, with 14 per cent confessing to asking the question spontaneously.
