Duffy: I'm happy being single

She may be topping the charts with her tuneful melodies, but Welsh singer Duffy said she is not ready to get into a serious relationship.

Unlike many celebrities who make a dash for the first available single totty, the beautiful blonde starlet has told local newspaper the Western Mail she prefers a glass of wine to a man.
The diminutive 24-year-old, whose songs include Warwick Avenue and Mercy, revealed she had been dating former boyfriend Mark Durston for five years after meeting at school.
However, she said that she is now scared of commitment because she does not want to get hurt.
She told the newspaper: "My music is the most honest thing I have. Actually, it's the only thing I can be honest in, because everything else in life – like love and friendship – is so complex."
A self-confessed "commitment-phobe", she said pledging to be in a relationship with someone is the thing she is most afraid of.
She added: "And besides, I'm really happy on my own. Because, that way, no one can hurt you."
