... Men want stable relationships Men want stable relationships

16 September 2008

The majority of men in the UK are ready to get into serious, stable relationships, according to new research.

In yet another survey profiling the typical British male in today's society, the study by Discovery Networks found that 73 per cent of men feel they would like to start a long-term relationship, while the same amount said equality was extremely important in that relationship.

The survey of 12,000 men in 15 countries aimed to find out the hopes, dreams, fears and aspirations of men around the world.

It also discovered that men in the UK are 25 per cent more likely to use skincare products than their European counterparts.

But they are also 33 per cent more likely to be apathetic to voting in a general election, the study found.

Despite using skincare products, most men hate the term metrosexual, for example, and would reject it at all costs, Brand Republic reports.

Rebecca Rormark, senior vice president of marketing at Discovery, told the magazine: "We are constantly looking to evolve our understanding of all aspects of this audience. Species helps inform the work we do with one of our core audiences."
