Wedding takes step back in time
12 September 2007
A couple from Buckinghamshire recently went back to medieval times for their wedding day.
They paid £30,000 for their ceremony, at which the bride, Sian Jenkins, arrived riding side-saddle on a white mare, reports the Daily Mail

.
Her dress was made from 270 feet of silk, while her groom wore a full suit of armour made of steel and trimmed with velvet, worth £10,000.
And the promises were also a little different from those of today. The bride promised to be "bonny and buxom in bed".
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a medieval banquet at the celebrations held in Lulworth castle in Dorset.
"I have been doing historical improvisation since I was 15 and have a passion for medieval history.
"Rupert shares my passion so a medieval wedding was the obvious choice."
