Hi, how are you? How's the whole internet dating experience going? Isn;'t it a nightmare!!? I just want to meet someone nice and have nice times. I'm an honest person, I like music and film and hanging out. I don't like clubs or hectic shops or stressful events. I like having fun but I'd rather go for an expedition to the seaside or go for a walk and find an old pub.
Ideally dinner and a conversation, perhaps in the countryside. I live in the hurly burly of London but that rambling farmhouse is forever butting into my daydreams.
I'm a bit of a businessman in that I run my own business. I love retail for its simplicity. People look at a product and if they want it, they buy it! Simple!
Otherwise, I play a bit of guitar and like a laugh. I've had a career on stage (I'll tell you more later!) and I've been in journalism.
I've been known to be a bit dizzy and clumsy, and romantic and creative and quiet and loud and generous, friendly, funny, unreliable, forgetful, scruffy, sensitive and independent.
I'm a bit of a self made person. I've created my opportunities and lived on my own wits. The most influential person in my life has probably been my Uncle. He was funny and gregarious and was a bit of a hippy from the sixties. He believed in self-sufficiency and that's something I've taken on board. The key thing to the philosophy was the opening of the mind and the knowledge and the confidence that there is something beyond the nine to five, beyond the normal. He was also a 'grown up'! He was, above all, a friend. Another special mention must go to my Nan. She was scottish and quite eccentric. She embodied a kind of gaelic madness I love!
