Firstly I am a fun loving,happy,chatty person,easy to know.

Family is very important to me, I am a Mum and adore my children who give me so much joy. My eldest daughter lives on the other side of the world and I have two baby grandsons who I miss and adore! My other two children live and work in London and I visit often.

I am an Infant teacher and passionate about my work which gives me so much pleasure.

My interests are varied and many but my main hobby is Upholstery which I suppose satisfies my creative, arty side so you will often find me hunting through skips or at the tip,in junk shops or at an auction looking for furniture to restore.

I need to make time in my life for me now so am looking for someone to share some lovely times.

Someone who is first and foremost kind and caring. I want a best friend, romance would be amazing if we click. Someone who makes me laugh is essential and would be a great bonus! Occupation:

I am an Infant teacher and love my job. I work 4 days a week in a very happy school and I feel priviliged to work there mainly teaching Art and Dance. I also enjoy teaching Literacy. I am passionate about giving children the best experience I can while they are in my care.

Education:

I was born in Blackpool,Lancashire, my roots are definitely northern. I was at infant school in Squires Gate then Junior school in Layton. I went to Grammar School in Layton. Then I went to Goldsmiths College, London University to study Education and Dance. I was offered my first teaching Job in London and stayed in the South.

Heritage:

I am a Lancashire Lass and very proud of the friendliness we Northerners show. I talk to anyone and everyone and make friends easily.

Religion:

I am not a believer but love visiting beautiful Churches and Cathedrals. I love the Music and the feeling of peace so I guess I am spiritual.

Politics:

I care about the party who cares about the NHS, the Environment and Education firstly not really always sure who this is?! I watch Question time and try and listen to Radio4 on my way to work in the car but often switch my Music on when it all gets too depressing!

Blues, Contemporary Classical, Country, Jazz, Pop, Soft Rock, Swing, 60s music, 70s music, 80s music, 90s music, I am receptive to all kinds of Music and love to go to Concerts. My favourite Artists are Sting, David Bowie, The Stones, Van Morrison ....... the list is endless.

Sports and exercise:

Pilates, Swimming, I love to walk in the countryside but especially by the beach.I used to ski but not confident.

Interests and activities:

Antiques, Art, Concerts, Eating Out, Gardening, Reading, Theatre, Travel, TV, Walking, I love to Dance and would like the opportunity to learn some ballroom,ceroc or salsa with someone. I think it would be great fun. I would like to travel more, my eldest daughter lives in Singapore at the moment and I would like to take the opportunity to use that as a base and explore the far east,Australia etc

My cat is a black and white moggy, a rescue cat, the friendliest cat you could ever meet.

Guardian, Independent, Interiors, Telegraph, The Times. I prefer a book.

Books:

Iris Murdoch, Louis de Bernieres, Michael, Nick Hornby, Roald Dahl, Sebastian Faulks, I read Roald Dahl most days at Storytime to the children I teach, I consider myself very fortunate to watch their faces light up with laughter and horror when listening, it is a joy to see! I am a member of a book club with friends, we meet every few months. We don't take ourselves too seriously.

Favourite Films:

The Talented Mr Ripley, Room with a View, Michael, Thelma and Louise, The Green Mile, The Cyber House rules, Roman Holiday, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Love Story, Pretty Woman,Some Like It Hot, I love most films particularly Comedy and Romance, Thrillers but not violence or Science Fiction.

Enjoyable evening out:

Art Gallery, Cinema, Meal, Wine bar, Musical, Theatre, I would like to try Salsa,that would be a new challenge. I love the National Gallery and often visit exhibitions at the Portrait Gallery and the Royal Academy. I would love to visit other Galleries and combine it with travel to Cities abroad and in the UK. I love the Theatre and am open to watching anything and everything!

Favourite Dishes:

Lytham Shrimps, Fish and Chips by the Beach anywhere, Crab sandwiches in Devon or Cornwall, Afternoon Tea, all the savoury stuff! Chicken Tikka Biryiani, Handmade Pizza, Lemongrass and ginger marinated chicken, Mediterranean vegetables and Ricotta wrapped in Filo, Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding, Smoked Salmon and poached eggs, Tomato + Mozarella salad, Veal Escalope

Ideal Holiday:

Driving through France, Italy is top of my list I love to visit there, Driving slowly around Ireland, Lying on a beach in the Caribbean, Anywhere would be lovely, I am easy to please.

In another life:

An artist, a dancer, a travel writer, I would like to have looked like Audrey Hepburn, she is so,so beautiful.Penelope Cruz is stunning especially in Captain Correlli's Mandolin, though arguably the book is so much better, I digress... I would like to be me again and know what I know now!
