Well its hard to sell oneself and not end up sounding like a box of soap powder or as if one's applying for a job. Passionate, bright and sparky might say something about me. I write about visual art for the broadsheets and am a published poet and novelist. Not famous but serious about what I do. I'm funny, sharp, clever, independent and warm and looking for a mutually loving relationship where each person feels comfortable, considered and able to grow. I love ideas and good conversation but enjoy being playful with someone with whom I can also be serious - if that makes sense! I don't want a man who says he doesn't take life too seriously. Life's there to be taken seriously! I don't mean being grim but living to the full, being open and trying new things.
I live in N. London and love what London has to offer: the NFT, the NT, Tate modern, Hampstead Heath for picnics on a sunny day, the markets, good restaurants. But I also love wild remote bits of England and walking - particularly in Yorkshire, Pembrokeshire and Cornwall. I also have a penchant for the sun - Italy and Greece, in particular - and love red wine! A warm sexy weekend in Paris or Rome wandering around art galleries, sitting in cafes etc., taking time out just to be. I'm also a good cook! ......
I love to have fun; dinner with friends, a private art view where I bump into people I know, Sunday lunch in a country pub etc. but I also have a fairly intellectual and spiritual side. I read a great deal - contemporary modern fiction and poetry (I write both and have published 3 books) some philosophy and like the Almedia Theatre and Donmar better than west end theatre, and the NFT and the Renoir better than mainstream stuff. ......
I do pilates regularly - but am not a sports freak, though I do enjoy sailing. I like clothes and care about what i look like - but not obsessively so. I'd love to find a grown up fanciable, articulate man who loves discussing ideas as much as having a good time. I'm tender, sensitive (not just about myself, I hope, but towards my partner as well)tactile and loving with the right man. Could it, I wonder, be you?
You'll be bright and enjoy your work, maybe you'll be an academic or perhaps in the arts - but i don't want to be too prescriptive. The main thing is what works between two people. Chemistry is all important! I don't expect perfection! I'm still travelling hopefully....

Enjoyable evening out:

Ideal Holiday:
lying on a beach in the Caribbean, driving slowly round Ireland, driving across the USA, learning to paint in Provence, Love the sun but after the official tan am bored by beaches - though I like simming. Enjoy a mixture of culture, architecture, good food, lazing around and finding beautiful unspoilt places - especially with right person.
